Sunset Blues of Janustown has moved over to Azules Barrio sim.. Now have a dj on Mondays..with the lovely Miss Angellica Lemieux  and Thursdays with the magnifico dj Garrett Larkham! So please come join us for the best music in all of SL and the funnest times…we are kinda nutty! Oh, and try out the new solo dance ball !!!  See ya there!

Bad me for letting this go so long…lots of changes are going on…The Janustown Yacht Club is now under new managment. We want to thank Ms Slade Pfeffer for all her past hard work and wish her the best in all her future projects. Metro Gilt has its new kitchens come! Come by and check it out! Lets see…ah yes, Garrett Larkham is djing at Sunset Blues on Thursdays from 6 - 8 …he really knows his stuff..come by and listen to some great tunes. The Forgotten Ballroom is becoming a fan favorite, dance ur feet off with your hunny! I think thats it for now..Life is short! Eat dessert first!!

Thursday night was a success! We raised over 10,000L’s!!! And a good time was had by all.  I personally want to thank all the people who made it possible for the successful night….Lannorra Sion, Keary Flanagan, Roisin Hotaling, Siv Vella, Slade Pfeffer, Vex Streeter and Garrett Larkham. Without any one of these people, the night wouldn’t not of gone as well. A big thank you to all!  We also picked up a DJ to come  play thursday nights at Sunset Blues Club!  Welcome Garrett Larkham!   I hear you did a new record of 5.5 hours at the fund raiser!!!! You rock!!!!  Thanks again go out to all!!!

On Thursday June 26th from 4 to 10 P.M. SLT we will be celebrating the reopening of Janustown in the Magi Sim in conjunction with a Second Life Relay for Life (SLRFL) fundraiser sponsored by the Riverbend Runners team. The Event will cover the entire Magi Sim and the adjacent Atticus Sim.

Entertainment will be on stage at Siv Vella’s new Sunset Blues Club located in Janustown. As of this writing the we have a DJ booked and several live acts pending. We hope to have a full bill of live entertainment we are asking for volunteers to play so we are optimistic. During the times if and when we do not have live entertainment we will have the wonderful Garrett Larkham spinning Blues and Rock tunes for your dancing enjoyment. We will finish out the night with a fabulous display of Siv Vella’s fireworks.

Other activities available will be surfing at Atticus, swimming at the Magi Yacht Club, sailing and boating if you can coerce me into taking you. (we have an untested wakeboard I am looking for victims errr…. volunteers to take the first ride) If you feel like something more sedate we have a several games at the yacht club on level 2, Cribbage, Poker, Backgammon, Darts and one of the those irritating slidey puzzle things or if you just want to relax check out Ro-Sheen’s Coffee Shop for a cup of coffee and conversation in a delightful atmosphere. If you aspire to the more blue collar venues we have Harley’s bar just down the street (look for the motor cycles) go in grab a beer and shoot some pool or get into a game of Uno. If shopping is your thing we have the newly opened furniture store named Gilt-Metro featuring contemporary furnishing designed by Lannorra Sion. Also please check out the RFL merchandise area set up between the Sunset Blues and the Magi Yacht club. Finally for you hopeless romantics up high on the hill (its the only one) you will find the forgotten ballroom. Go there with your love set to sunset and hop on some dance balls - its magic - trust me I know.

If you are looking for a place to live in we have several rental units available and would be pleased to show them to you. In fact the marina condominiums are on a special for the benefit of the SL RFL look for the vendor in the RFL merchandise area for more information.

Hope eveyone had a great holiday weekend! I was out of town for most of it and when I came back home, I had to dodge tornados for the next tow days! Ah…living in the land of Oz!  Janustown is coming along nicely. The yacht club has added a pool! Check it out! Janustown all so has added row houses. They shall be open for occupancy soon! It looks to me that Ro’s Coffee Shop is finished and the gallery is basically done too. Can’t wait for the opening! (hint, hint) Janustown also has added a show jumping arena. Looking for new jumps tho, these keep moving after you hit them. grrr

Progess is coming about town…Ro-Sheen’s Coffee Shop is basically done and the gallery is coming along! The water walk is in and soon we should see a brank new yacht club! Also added is a new horse show jumping arena! Come by and try it out..then go have  a cup of have at Ro-Sheen’s Coffee Shop to debate who did better in jumping! Grins

Janustown is pleased to announcet Slade Pfeffer as its new leader of the  Yacht club and Siv Vella as the new director of the blues club (names of both to be announced at a later date) Janustown is please and excited to have them join our ranks! Welcome and good luck!

JanustownTimes finally has it’s own newspaper vendors! Look for them about the town!

A tornado came and destroyed the skyscraper, so Janustown Times moved their offices over to that block.

Still no new word on the new furniture shop that is coming…hmmmm…
